If you loved Showtime's 'L Word' featuring Pam Grier and Jennifer Beals, the network has good news for you. According to Showtime, a new reality series set to the tune of 'The L Word' will premiere this summer! Titled 'The Real L Word,' sources say the series will follow "a group of real-life, hot and happening lesbians in their daily lives at work and play in Los Angeles. Sometimes real life is even more compelling than fiction." Produced by IIene Chaiken and Magical Elves (Top Chef), 'The Real L Word' will premiere Sunday, June 20th at 10pm. 'The Real L Word' joins Showtime's line up of new series, including the Gabourey Sidibe featured 'The Big C' and 'The Green Room With Paul Provenza,' featuring Paul Mooney and Roseanne Barr.

In related news, GLAAD award-winning 'L Word' creator Ilene Chaiken is working on 'The L Word' -- the movie. It is unclear just when or where that project will premiere though.

Before stopping in at the salon, the 23-year-old actress was seen grabbing some lunch at KFC. Yummy!
Ashley caught up with Cinematical at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival and opened up about what she did to prepare for her role as Michelle in Skateland.
She shared, “I spoke to my mother a lot; I look so much like my mother in this, it’s crazy. It was really fun. I definitely talked to her and asked her about it, because I was born in the later part of the ’80s so I missed out on it. She was into the roller skating thing a little bit. But you know, my character doesn’t really get to roller skate as much, that’s more a Ritchie Wheeler-Shiloh Fernandez kind of thing, but it was fun to observe and be around. The thing about the character is, once you have the rollers in your hair and you have the hair and make-up on and the clothes, it really puts you in that place and you get to live in the ’80s for a short period of time.”

YOUNG men believe women are "fair game" for rape and abuse because of the "poisonous" influence of Lady Gaga and Beyonc aac, a senior NSW Labor MP claims.

In a sexually explicit speech, Labor Whip Greg Donnelly used a parliamentary debate about International Women's Day to claim that raunchy acts like Lady Gaga were twisting gender relations by "horrible coarse, sexualisation" of young girls.

His comments have triggered uproar among women MPs, who have accused the former shop assistants' union official of being "gratuitous".

Mr Donnelly described acts of rape, sexual harassment and group sex to illustrate his point that young girls were becoming overly sexualised and that, as a consequence, they were targets for aggressive male desire.

"Young boys may start to think that women and young girls are fair game and that they can go to a party on the weekend, get loaded up with grog and that it's their right to ask a young girl for a head job or for anal sex or to push a young woman up against a wall and have sex," Mr Donnelly, a right-wing Catholic, told Parliament on Thursday night.

Paquita la del Barrio now says she's sorry. The Mexican singer who inflamed a controversy over her comments on gay adoption announced that she would hold a press conference and concert next week to offer apologies for saying she'd rather see a child die on the streets than be adopted by a same-sex couple.

The singer's apology event, set for Tuesday afternoon, will take place at Spartacus, a huge gay disco in Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl, the sprawling Mexico City suburb sometimes referred to as "Neza York."

As outrageous as her comments might have been for many fans, Paquita's disapproval of gay couples adopting children is not that far out of the mainstream in Mexico.

A recent poll found that 71% of respondents were opposed to Mexico City's new law that allows adoption by same-sex couples. Only 10% were in favor.

A fire broke out at the set of the latest Harry Potter film at Leavesden Studios when a mock batttle got out of control.

Watford firefighters were called to an outdoor film set at about 9pm to deal with a blaze in a mocked up castle.

Watch commander Tony Smith said:

"I think they are filming some stunts for the last scene. There is a big battle scene involving a lot of pyrotechnics and explosions. There is a mocked up castle made of timber, steel and plastic - somehow it caught alight. By the time we got there the on-site fire crew had it pretty well under control - they did a good job. We just helped damp it down and inspected the area. I didn't see any cast - but there were about 100 crew, who were all evacuated to a marshalling are. They didn't seem too concerned. It's hard to say how much damage was caused, because some of it may have been planned as part of the filming. Perhaps they got much better footage than they expected."

Not enjoying a Hollywood moment that night: Jacqueline Fuchs, the fiery bass player who performed in the 1970s all-girl quintet as Jackie Fox but whose absence from the premiere mirrors her disappearance from the story of the Runaways, as told in the new film.

Producers of the punk biopic, which opens Friday, chose to move forward on the project without obtaining Fuchs' life rights or those of Runaways guitarist Lita Ford. As a result, the bassist character was minimized, Fuchs' name was changed and Jett even dropped a cherry bomb of a lawsuit on her former bandmate when she raised a stink about the movie.

We’ve been so consumed in thoughts of Sandra Bullock that we’ve almost forgotten that this has also been a challenging week for another Oscar winner. Since the announcement of Kate Winslet’s split from her husband Sam Mendes, we’ve noticed her name has been removed from her NYC film premiere Monday.

Kate was originally listed as an attendee of the NYC premiere on March 22 of A Mother’s Courage: Talking Back to Autism, for which she narrated, but her name has since been removed.
 

The award-winning actress announced her split from husband of nearly seven years in a statement through their lawyers Monday.

Sandra also pulled out of a premiere scheduled for next week in London due to “unforeseen personal reasons.”

What’s the longest period of time you’ve waited for someone? Twenty minutes? An hour?

I start to get cranky around the five-minute mark, so imagine how grumpy I am after waiting four hours on a Sunday afternoon for the subject of today’s photoshoot to arrive. You know how a watched pot never boils? Well, let me assure you, a watched doorway never brings a Rihanna.

For much of the afternoon, I’ve been steadily receiving text messages letting me know that the singer won’t be long (“definitely within the hour”) until, finally, when the crew are weak with starvation, we’re startled into action by a flurry of voices. Striding at the front of the 10-strong pack is the surprisingly tall star, immaculately groomed in a simple white shift dress and giant sunnies (even though it’s 7pm). She takes the time to greet each of us with, “Hi, I’m Rihanna.”

Considering she’s only in town for a 72-hour promo tour, she has one hell of an entourage. There’s the manager, two assistants (one of whom heads for the stereo to blast the boss lady’s new album, Rated R, kicking off with the chart-topping single Rude Boy), the hair and make-up artists, the wardrobe keeper, the best friend and two drivers. They busy themselves taking over the entire studio space, while Rihanna squeaks with excitement at the designer pieces she’ll be wearing.

Model turned New Moon actress Noot Seear worked with Terry, clothed, on a campaign, and was quick to stand up for him. "Terry's a really cool guy. It's not like he pressures you into doing anything you're not comfortable with," she told us at a silent auction in Milk Studios benefiting Rose Charities to aid Haiti earthquake victims. Photographer John Mark Sorum also stood in Richardson's corner. "Terry is an amazing photographer. All that goes on while shooting is participatory play," he said.

Seear agrees with those who believe the fashion-photography world would be a little dull without Richardson's contribution. "There's something very beautiful, very raw about it and I'm glad that there is a photographer out there that does work like that," said Seear, founder of Rose Charities USA. Richardson donated an original print to last night's auction.
